Q. What makes Columbia River Gorge Freight different from any other delivery service?
A. We are the delivery service that doesn't say no to your specialized needs, our first rule is to serve the customer. Doesn't matter how sma ll or how big it is give us a call and will take care of your delivery, courier, trucking, and freight needs.
Q. Why are your rates not posted on your web site?
A. We have set rates however these rates can change depending on the area of Portland / Seattle or Bend and how many pick-ups we have in that area. We also have set established lower rates for repeat customers that have multiple stops per week.
Q. How far do you go?
A. We cover Portland for same day and scheduled deliveries and Bend / Seattle for Bi-weekly deliveries. We also will do hot shots with our box trucks or custom small flatbed in Oregon, Washington and California.
Q. How much can you carry and what do you deliver?
A. It can be as small as an envelope or as big as 12 pallets of material at 10,000 lbs, if you can't wait until tomorrow, we can handle it.
Q. Won't FedEx or UPS cost me alot less than using you?
A. We are based in the Gorge, so we cater to Columbia River Gorge businesses and residents. We support our local economy, and want to strengthen it by remaining in the Gorge so we can give you better delivery service and rates than a huge national company.
Q. If I need a delivery right away, how long will you take to get here?
A. If you're in the Columbia River Gorge, we'll usually have a driver at your business or residence within 15 to 30 minutes after you call.
Q.  I'll need an ongoing delivery two or three times every week. Will I receive a discount?
A. Daily and regular accounts that have multiple deliveries per week will be set-up with a rate chart customly built to cater them.
Q. Shouldn't I just send out my own employee to deliver something?
A. Virtually all of our clients find that they are saving money using our services as opposed to sending out a valuable employee. Companies don't want to do deliveries beause they don't want the responsibilities of having an employee drive, and the potentially costly liability issues to deal with. Additionally, the costs of having a vehicle with insurance and don’t even mention the costs of gas these days.
Q. Do you deliver at night or on the weekends?
A. We will deliver any time of night or on the weekends for dedicated hot shot deliveries.
Q. Are you insured?
A. Absolutely. It would be illegal for us to operate without the proper insurance. In addition to our regular vehicle insurance, we carry specialized cargo insurance that will cover nearly any amount, and nearly any item or product.
Q. Can you bill me for your services?
A. We bill on a monthly basis for some clients, and a bi-weekly basis for others.
Q. How will I know that my package has been safely delivered?
A. Our drivers, upon request, will call you the moment your package is delivered and signed for. Our customers love this, and it gives peace of mind knowing their important item has reached its destination.
